6 Ways to Become a Better Gamer

Gaming can often be a controversial subject. Many believe it’s a time wasting activity that can only lead to a damaging future filled with violence. Wrong! Shooting and knockouts are just a small aspect of what gaming has to offer and it actually comes with a long list of benefits. Studies have shown that gaming helps to improve memory and strategic planning. Not only that, but it also helps you develop quicker reflexes and a better sense of focus. Whether you game for the benefits or if you just enjoy the adventure, here is a list of ways you can become a better gamer:
  • Hand-Eye Coordination

Yeah, we know it’s hard to put down the controller but listen. Hand Eye Coordination is crucial when it comes to improving your PWNing skills. Pick up a baseball, a racket, a pair of boxing gloves… anything that will help you to focus and improve your hand-eye coordination. Believe it or not, improving this skill in the real world will also help you to level up in your virtual one. Can’t handle the thought of sports? There are plenty of apps built for iOS and Android that can help you to improve this skill as well.
  • Invest in your Equipment

Think of your gaming equipment as your weapons. Your mouse is your sword, your controller is your shield, your screen is your inventory pack… you should make sure that whatever it is you choose to game on, that it’s top quality so you can battle your foes with vengeance!
  • Don’t be Cocky

People actually want to help others who are nice. If you’re a level 20 and you have a friend who’s a level 80, it might pay off to ask them how the heck they got to that point. Be friendly and leave your ego at the door. Find out which techniques they find reliable and learn from them! If you don’t know anyone you can ask for help, then study pro-gamers. Watch what they do and take notes. After all, there’s a reason they are where they are.
  • Exercise your Hand Muscles

When you’re a gamer, you’re constantly putting a strain on your hands, fingers, arms and wrists which can actually affect your whole body. Therefore, it’s important to exercise these muscles on a daily basis in order to build your strength. By conducting various exercises on your gaming muscles, you’ll see a world of difference in your performance.
  • Keep Centered

Playing video games when you’re not in a positive mind set can prove detrimental to your ability to grow as a gamer. If you’re in a frustrated, angry or anxious state, there’s a good chance this will worsen your performance. Odds are, by the time you end up chucking your controller across the room, you’ll be in an even more frustrated, angry or anxious state. If you’re feeling negative, try deep breathing exercises, or gently set down the controller and engage in endorphin boosting activities like boxing or running.
  • Introduce Nootropics

Nootropics may just end up becoming your new best friend. As a serious gamer, maintaining focus and increasing your energy is important to you. Nootropics regulates the release of different neurotransmitters in the brain which are responsible for our ability to learn. It also boosts memory and concentration, improves mood, increases overall mental performance and of course, will help give you an energy boost.
Introduce Nootropics with the help of BLUVOS Smart Energy Supplements. They only use the highest quality, naturally derived Nootropics in an easy to swallow pill form.
